Find the first customers for your VS Code extension

Asking right now

Real public posts from the last few weeks by people looking for a VS Code extension. Each one is a conversation you could start today.

• Is there a VS Code extension to detect PSR-4 namespace and file path mismatches in PHP? (Stack Overflow)
• The little tool you wish your editor had? You can make it in rhun now. Extensions, Claude Code/Codex skills, Rust/Go templates, and a skill to help port open-so (Bluesky)
• This is a wonderful idea that fills a gap that has caused me much pain! When it's more stable I'll be looking for (or creating) an Obsidian plugin, a VS Code ex (Hacker News)

What Hulby does for a VS Code extension

• Searches Reddit, Hacker News and Bluesky every day for people describing the problem your VS Code extension solves.
• Writes a helpful reply, DM or email for each of them, in your voice. You read it, copy it, send it.
• Gives you three moves every morning and keeps a list of who to follow up with, until they pay.
