This Privacy Policy explains how Hulby processes personal data when you use Hulby: what we collect, why we use it, who helps us and what rights you have under data protection law, including the GDPR.
1. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Hulby, we may process the following.
Account information
Your name, email address, login details and company information.
Billing information
Subscription details, invoices and payment-related information. Card details are processed directly by our payment provider.
Website and business information
What you tell us or what we read from your website about your business, brand, products, services, audience and style of communication.
Content
Text, images, logos, brand assets, prompts and other material you submit to create content.
Usage information
How you use Hulby, such as the features you use, timestamps, device information and technical logs.
Connected social media accounts
If you connect a social media account to publish through Hulby, the name and handle of that account, the access the network grants (held by our publishing provider), and the posts we publish and their status. We do not receive your social media passwords.
Communications
What you send us when you contact support.
Cookies
Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy.
2. How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- provide and operate Hulby;
- create and manage your account;
- create content;
- process payments;
- provide support;
- keep the Service secure and detect fraud and abuse;
- improve the Service and measure how it performs;
- send messages about your account and service;
- send marketing where the law allows it;
- meet legal obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Emails from Hulby
We send emails about your account, such as sign-in codes and receipts. Because you use Hulby, we may also send occasional emails about Hulby itself: tips, new features and offers. We send these on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling customers about similar services (the "soft opt-in"). Every one of these emails has a link to unsubscribe in one click, and you can also ask us to stop at support@hulby.com.
3. Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests or your consent. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
4. AI providers
To create what you ask for, Hulby sends the relevant information and content to third-party AI infrastructure and model providers. We only use providers that suit the purpose and put the required contractual arrangements in place with them.
5. Service providers
We use providers for hosting, databases, authentication, payments, analytics, support, email delivery, AI processing, publishing to social media and security. Where they process personal data, they do so on our behalf. Publishing to the accounts you connect runs through Zernio, which holds the access each network grants for that purpose. When we publish a post, the network that receives it processes it under its own privacy policy.
6. International transfers
Some providers process information outside the European Economic Area. When personal data leaves the EEA, we use the safeguards that data protection law requires.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires longer. Account data is generally kept for the life of your account and a reasonable period afterwards for legal, accounting, security and dispute purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- ask for deletion;
- ask us to restrict processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent; and
- complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
